Why Kindness Code Exists:

Modern life is becoming mentally exhausting.

Many people feel constantly pulled in different directions — distracted by noise, pressure, endless stimulation, and the feeling that they must always chase the next result, goal, or version of themselves.

Even during moments of rest, the mind often remains unsettled.

Kindness Code was created as a practical response to this reality.

Not to escape life, but to help people meet life with greater clarity, steadiness, and kindness through small daily practices that fit into ordinary modern living.

How We Grew

For more than 30 years, Harsha Liyanage has explored mindfulness through both meditation and everyday life - work, relationships, responsibility, leadership, stress, community, and service.

Over time, this practice naturally expanded into retreats, community projects, conversations, and practical guidance shared with people from different backgrounds and stages of life.

Rather than separating mindfulness from modern living, KC was shaped around a simple question:

How do we stay clear, steady, and kind within the pressures of ordinary life?

This led to the development of small practical exercises designed for real-world use — simple pauses, breathing practices, reflections, and mindful routines that can fit into everyday moments.

Harsha is also the author of The Kindness Code and Honey & Gunpowder, exploring mindfulness through both practical guidance and reflective writing.

What began quietly through small groups and word of mouth has now grown into an international community of practitioners engaging through events, videos, books, online programs, and daily practice.
